For a family gathering, book around a defined household task list: the rooms guests will use, the preparation needed before arrival and the reset after they leave. Give the provider the actual address, date, access arrangements and preferred service period. A clear brief is more useful than asking for “everything ready” without setting priorities.

Plan around the gathering, not a vague cleaning request

Map

Separate before, during and after-event duties.

Prioritise

Choose the rooms and tasks that matter first.

Arrange

Record the role, visit period, products and access.

Handover

Review completed work and the remaining reset.

An original planning flow for a private family gathering; it does not represent a fixed completion-time promise.

Separate preparation, hosting and the next-day reset

These are different workloads. Cleaning bathrooms and preparing the living room before guests arrive are not the same as serving food during a gathering or washing dishes afterwards. List each requirement separately, then decide which work your family will handle and which work belongs in the proposed service.

For example, a household may put guest bathroom preparation first, dining-area preparation second and laundry last. This is an original planning example, not a promise that a worker will finish every task in a particular visit. The home layout, condition, available equipment and competing duties all affect the work plan.

Read the household duties guide before combining cleaning, cooking and childcare. If a child needs active supervision, that responsibility should have a named adult rather than becoming an extra task alongside a rushed kitchen clean-up.

Build a before/during/after task table

StageExample household prioritiesWhat to settle in advance
Before guests arriveGuest bathroom, living areas, dining surfaces and agreed kitchen preparationPriority order, available products and rooms ready for access
During the gatheringOnly the duties expressly included in the arrangementWho supervises children, who handles food and who directs changes
After guests leaveDishes, waste, agreed surfaces and restoring the roomFinish time, tasks carried forward and safe storage
Following visitRemaining routine work and a normal household resetA separate schedule and revised priority list

Identify delicate furnishings, items that need special handling and cupboards that are private. Set aside the correct cleaning products and explain appliance controls before the gathering begins. This helps the worker follow one clear routine instead of receiving different instructions from several family members.

Keep cleaning practical and appropriate to surfaces

A guest-ready home does not require every cleaning chemical to be used on every surface. Choose the product intended for the material and follow its label. The CDC's household-cleaning guidance distinguishes routine cleaning from sanitising and disinfecting; it also advises against mixing products.

Plan storage for dishes, rubbish and fragile items so work can proceed without blocking family movement. Keep children and pets out of the immediate work area when products, hot appliances or breakable items are being handled. Specialist stain treatment, high-level access or heavy moving needs a separate scope discussion rather than an assumption that it is part of ordinary domestic help.

Choose the visit period after setting the priorities

INAYA's published short-visit options are AED 120 for four hours and AED 200 for eight hours. Use the pricing page to compare the actual packages, then explain the gathering timetable and required duties. These are duration-based prices; they do not establish a fixed number of rooms or guests that one person will serve.

Review on-demand domestic help or part-time maid enquiries according to your household need. Keep private-home support separate from commercial event staffing, catering, specialist cleaning or professional childcare requirements. Each has its own role and responsibility discussion.

Give the provider one usable brief

Send the date, emirate, guest arrival and departure window, rooms involved and the task priorities. Add whether the family needs support before, during or after the gathering, and identify the person responsible for decisions. Explain access, products, equipment and any household sensitivities at the same time.

For the employment background, the UAE Government domestic-worker guide explains the written arrangement. Your gathering plan then records the practical work within that arrangement. Contact INAYA with this brief so the proposed scope, schedule and service price can be put together before the event.

Customer questions and answers

Can I book help only before guests arrive?

Describe the preparation-only task list and required visit period. The proposed arrangement should identify the rooms, priorities, access and time window without adding hosting duties automatically.

Does a maid booking include cooking or serving guests?

Record cooking, food preparation and guest-related duties separately in the service scope. A general cleaning request does not itself assign those roles.

Should I choose four hours or eight hours for a gathering?

Start with the work required before, during and after the gathering. Compare the published packages, then select a service period against the agreed priorities rather than a fixed guest-count rule.

What if the gathering runs longer than planned?

Discuss any revised service period and duties with the coordinator. Keep the original finish arrangement clear and obtain the revised scope and price before adding work.
